The Myodural Bridge & Related Anatomy: A Hands-On Workshop Exploring Anatomy, Function, Clinical Implications, and Pathological Correlations including Meningomyovertebral Concepts, PAO Membrane, and Advanced Imaging

This module based hands-on workshop explores the Myodural Bridge, an anatomical discovery with significant implications for cerebrospinal fluid dynamics, headache pathology, and spinal biomechanics. Participants will engage with cadaveric prosections, epoxy-preserved anatomical models, radiological imaging, and PAO membrane models to gain a comprehensive understanding of the structure and function of the myodural bridge and its surrounding anatomy.

Participants will have online module work prior to lab hours in order to be prepared for the advanced hands-on workshop.

Dr. Frank Scali is a distinguished Associate Professor of Medical Education specializing in Anatomy at the California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM). With a diverse background, Dr. Scali has established himself as a leader in his field.

He has published over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and contributed numerous illustrations to key medical textbooks and journals. His research focuses on translational anatomy, particularly the myodural bridge and the alar fascia, crucial in understanding the human body’s function and pathology.
